Claudia Popescu, Partner Wolf Theiss

Wolf Theiss has strengthened its Corporate/M&A practice in Romania with the appointment of Claudia Popescu as Partner in its Bucharest office. The move reinforces the firm’s regional Corporate/M&A capabilities, one of the largest and best-ranked transactional teams in Central and Eastern Europe, comprising more than 150 lawyers across the CEE/SEE region.

Claudia Popescu is a seasoned M&A and private equity practitioner with over two decades of experience advising international and domestic clients on complex cross-border transactions. Her work spans sectors such as technology, energy, automotive, industrials, healthcare, financial services, and real estate. Her expertise covers acquisitions and divestments, mergers, intra-group restructurings, regulatory and commercial issues, public offerings, privatisations, and investment-related mandates.

Before joining Wolf Theiss, Popescu spent more than twenty years with two international law firms. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Bucharest (2002) and has been a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2003. She is also certified by the International Association for Sustainable Economy as an International Sustainable Business Specialist – Level II and Advisor – Level I.
