Filip & Company law firm has provided legal assistance to the banking syndicate comprising UniCredit Bank, Banca Transilvania, Raiffeisen Bank, Exim Banca Românească and ING Bank in arranging a sustainability-linked loan of up to EUR 187 million to MOOV Mobility Services, a Romanian operational leasing and mobility company.
UniCredit Bank, Banca Transilvania and Raiffeisen Bank acted as Global Coordinators and Bookrunners, whilst the five financing banks – UniCredit Bank, Banca Transilvania, Raiffeisen Bank, Exim Banca Românească and ING Bank – acted as Mandated Lead Arrangers. UniCredit Bank, Banca Transilvania and Raiffeisen Bank also acted as Co-Documentation Agents, UniCredit S.p.A. acted as Sustainability Agent, Banca Transilvania as Agent, and Raiffeisen Bank as Security Agent.
The facility is structured as a Sustainability-Linked Loan, a financing instrument that links certain parameters of the loan to the achievement of sustainability, environmental and social targets set by the company.
“We are delighted to have once again partnered with the financing banks in this new phase of MOOV Leasing’s development. The transaction builds on the financing we facilitated last year, within a broader and more sophisticated structure. This reflects both the company’s progress and the financiers’ confidence in its development strategy. The sustainability component confirms that such mechanisms are becoming a natural part of modern financing and will play an increasingly important role in supporting expanding companies. We thank all parties involved for their collaboration and for the trust placed in our team”, said Rebecca Marina, partner in the Banking & Financial Services department at Filip & Company.
The Filip & Company team that advised the financing banks was coordinated by Rebecca Marina (partner) and included in key roles Alexandra Manciulea (partner), Elena Nițu (associate) and Sandra Danciu (associate).
