Advised Goldman Sachs International in connection with a proposed EUR 330 million loan facility, 80 percent sovereign guaranteed and 20 percent secured with assets, to Rafo SA for the purposes of undertaking the modernization of its refinery in Romania as well as in order to ensure funding for working capital;
Advised ING Bank Romania in connection with regulatory issues regarding the implementation and provision of certain electronic financial services as well as general regulatory advice;
Advised a leading Greek bank in connection with the restructuring of a EUR 75 million financing by the above mentioned bank and Piraeus Bank of the acquisition by HSBC of a local company operating a large retail park near Bucharest;

Advised a consortium of energy companies (owned by local developers and Verbund) in connection with the structuring and negotiation of an operation agreement for a group of wind farms with aggregate power of 700 MW and in relation to other project contracts. This is one the largest wind farm projects on the Romanian market; it is also the first time a joint connection solution has been accepted by Transelectrica (estimated project value: EUR 1 billion);
Advised Eurocape New Energy Ltd, affiliated group of Stinag (Stuttgart Investment) AG, in connection with the development and financing of a 9 MW wind project in Oravita (the first operational wind park in western Romania), as well as with further corporate governance issues, general advice on project development and assistance in the negotiation of prospective project finance granted by a leading CEE bank for construction of the Oravita project. The deal involves complex public-procurement, regulatory and EU subsidies issues (estimated project value: EUR 17 million);
Advised Eurocape New Energy Ltd in connection with the acquisition of a Romanian company developing a wind project with a total capacity of 80 MW;
Advised Stream Invest Holding AG in connection with a due diligence on two wind farms (with an aggregate installed power of 35 MW) in view of obtaining financing for construction and with respect to related legal and regulatory issues.

Advised Windkraft Simonsfeld in connection with a land swap exchange transaction with a local competitor and a PPP agreement with the local municipality meant to secure the use of 800 ha of land for the purpose of developing a 84 MW wind farm;
